5th Annual Weight Loss and Fitness Challenge Winner

Congrats Melinda!  With over 137 points Melinda Beckendorff won our weight loss and fitness challenge.  Way to go.  Everyone did so well and we are so proud of all of the competitors.  Melinda lost 7.25% of her body weight and 12.42% of her body fat% and lost 4.75″.  She compiled a whopping 79 cardio points to anchor her spot as the defending weight loss and fitness challenge winner from 2013.  She is our first two-time winner.

Our male winner and second place contestant was Brian Bowden who lost 4.73% of his body weight and 37.5% of his body fat% and lost 5.25″.  His transformation was pretty amazing.  He also was just awarded with Eagle Scout in Katy Troop 424.

Congratulations to all the contestants.  We are very proud of all of your accomplishments and hope everyone continues to keep at it.  We are having our next weight loss challenge in the fall for Back to School.

We are also in the midst of our MDA 5000 Miles Challenge.  Keep it up and continue to record your mileage for the MDA.

We need 5000 miles before May 3 for ‘Train the Trainer Day’.

ESN Health 5th Annual Weight Loss Challenge

It’s cold outside, but things are heating up at ESN Health…

The Weight Loss & Fitness Challenge AND our MDA Cardio Challenge (Goal: 5,000 miles) kicked off yesterday!

The cardio challenge culminates with Train the Trainer Day, May 3, 2014 (Saturday).  It is a way to help us donate as much money as we can to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Just log your miles with ESN Health at the front desk.  Any cardio you do at the studio or at home or outside.  Good luck and lets get to 5000 miles as fast as we possibly can.  We got this!

Our 5th annual weight loss challenge starts January 6th and lasts until February 16th. There will be one overall winner and that person wins $500. Let us know if you want to get started with the challenge. We weigh you in and you are enrolled.

By now, (1/7 at 1240P), you could have 2 sessions under your belt and 2 cardios and well on your way to weight loss and inches lost.  We have the points the way we do because of the correlation between those that workout with us and do their 30 minutes of cardio as extra homework are the folks that lose the most inches, body fat, and overall weight.  So get after it and lets hope we can get someone to 100 points in this years challenge.  Go get ’em!

There are 7 ways to score points and the largest point total is the winner. Last year’s winner had over 84 points.

  1. Perform a 1-on-1 private personal training session for 1 point
  2. Perform a small group training class for 1 point
  3. Perform 30 minutes of cardio at ESN Health for 1 point
  4. Have your diet logs reviewed once per week for 1 point
  5. Delta in body fat % loss is a point – for example, losing 2% body fat from 20% will be 10 points
  6. Delta in weight loss is a point – for example, losing 20 pounds for a 200 pound person is 10 points
  7. Total inches lost is 1 point per inch

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year and excellent Holidays. The time of year when candy, cake, cookies, and goodies are easily accessible is over, FINALLY! But now it is time to get after it and lose the excess weight you have always wanted to lose. It’s a time of new beginning! We all have a clean slate, right? The time is NOW! Don’t wait, because when you go to work Thursday morning it is the beginning of the BEST YEAR OF YOUR LIFE! Lets start by taking advantage of some good old fashioned hard work and dedication.

Merry Christmas! Take Action TODAY!

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope everyone gets to spend time with their loved ones and enjoys a nice break. We want to thank all of our Clients at ESN and we look forward to continuing to help everyone reach their health and fitness goals into 2014 and beyond with our staff of certified personal trainers.

If you want to burn fat, get stronger, have more energy, feel better, improve your fitness, improve your endurance and stamina you need to set specific, time bound goals, create a plan and take ACTION!

If you feel that you are lacking in motivation, direction and purpose in your training(exercise and nutrition) or your health and fitness, ESN Health has the tools and resources to help.

We currently are offering small group training (upto 3-8 people) and 1-on-1 private personal training Monday through Saturday from 5A-9P by appointments only. We have a ton of time available everyday to help you achive your goals.

If you are lacking in motivation then you need to come into ESN Health on a daily basis and get fired up to reach your goals! Our training at ESN Health is for anyone that wants to become more, and there is something for everyone.
